September 2004

North Cove Rock with 49th Parallel Dive Charters.

This dive turned out to be a real treat. We really did not expect to find anything here we just wanted to dive it "cause it was there" actually Thetis Island legend has it that there is a picture of Adam Hunter standing on a rock at a low tide in the middle of the cove. We did not find a part of it that shallow but we have not explored the whole thing yet. What was a pleasant surprise is deep water all around it, and millions of tiny green Sea urchin and swimming Scallop. The usual variety of rock fish hang out in the nooks and crannys. This is a fun dive good visibility and not much current to speak of.
